-One day my MacBook decided to not boot up, and instead gives me a gray/black screen. The chime works, apple logo is on, etc. Doing SMC and PRAM resets do not solve it, even though in the past it has. [br]

-The crazy thing about it is that when connected to external display via HDMI, I can see the screen (apple logo bar, login display). When logging in, I get the white screen and/or MacBook freezes while showing me my background that I had (still does my slideshow). I cannot get the MacBook to go to recovery mode, and when I get it to internet recovery mode, it will freeze to a white screen once the progress bar gets full. [br]

-The battery is new, and I even replaced the motherboard to see if that was the issue (upgraded from 4gb ram to 8). Note: before I replaced the motherboard, I was able to get into internet recovery mode and 1)re install iOS and 2) disk utility. First aid said no errors with my hard drive. [br]
+Now the only thing that I can do is either Recovery mode or single user mode. My drives are good as I have run multiple first aid tests. I kept trying to reinstall iOS, but every time I do, I get a “kernel” message, the message saying “your MacBook restarted because of an error...” and then that is a never ending loop. And that is where I am at right now.
-2013 retina MacBook Pro.
+Battery is good, hard drive looks good, and logicboard is brand new, just in case that was the issue.
