The intel core i7  2860QM used in the 15” and 17” MBP does support up to 32GB of RAM. Now, the intriguing question is  how will these MBPs respond to a  single 16 GB stick DDR3 RAM  1600 , 1333  and 1066 MHZ  204 pins? Of course presuming that the RAM stick will physically fit in  the MBP’s RAM slot.

will be trying it soon with my 2011  17”-MBP.
