Have you tried another CD just in case the CD is faulty, you didn't say?

Try [https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313&_nkw=cd+lens+cleaner&_sacat=0|cleaning the laser lens] (example only) and check if that resolves the problem. You would be surprised how dust gets in to cover the lens. Dust on a CD can take it in and then it is blown onto the lens by the movement of the disc, unless you clean the disc everytime that is ;-)
