If it's the A7..I solved my issue….

Settings…advanced features… motions and gestures…

Now deselect the double tap on/off features…

This solved my issues..no reset needed..apparently when I open my case I double tapped my screen..     check and see if this works for you…   Good luck and as a wise man once said…..  Crush you enemies…see them driven before you.. and hear the lamentations of their women..(thank you Conan)
