I trust my local Ifixit store 100%.   We had an 2nd generation I-pad that was put away for several years.  When it was brought out for my granddaughter to use, we had forgotten the Apple ID and Password, and without the original receipt, Apple would not help us.  They suggested we get a copy of the reciept from the store we had bought it from 8 years ago, that went out of business 6 years ago.  For $35.00, they removed the need to use any type of password  or user ID for my granddaughter to watch her videos.    Happy granddaughter=happy home.
