Hey All. I decided to take up apple watch repairs. I’ve done computers and laptops for 20 years. I’ve gotten into tablets and phones the last few years. Today my kids hand me down apple watch. Series 1. I got the kit from ifixit, replaced it, powers up. Touch doesn’t work. All the cables are attached, nothing is torn. buttons respond but not the thouch screen. Hard reboots (power & hold crown) don’t seem to “reset” it, it just seems to power cycle it, show the apple and back to the lock screen. What am I missing?

I have seated & reseated the force touch cable, the 2 cables on the back, the battery, everything is snug.
