I have same laptop, same problem. The GPU is defective from Nvidia.(check lawsuit and affected gpus cc2006-2009)Reflow did not work for long, changing gpu M8700GT could lead to problem resurfaceing. Best solution was to use hot(I used edge just to cover chip) iron-cotton lvl, on gpu silicone chip. Left it for about 10m and then let it cool.(worked great after.) It will not affect different gpu parts like a reflow.(will not affect gpu as its under 200c). Weight of the iron fixes joints problems and internal chip silicone problems for a while.No need to press on Iron.
