I had a problem like this, and the only thing that fixed it was a factory reset. Back up anything you care about (copy your DCIM folder especially to some form of external storage), and reset it. There's a  tab in settings (accounts and backup I think) that has a few options to back everything up. Remember, you can never have too many backups
