I had same problem. Mine had broken right at the plug so my only option was to cut away the female part of the plug off the pcb board and solder the 11 cables directly to the pcb board. Sounds hard and looks harder but I'm a complete beginner and this was my 1st eversoldering adventure and didn't struggle much! Only thing is that there's 2 whites 2 browns so I opened the cup that wasn't broken and used an electrical tester to make sure they were in the correct order

Ps they don't touch it just looks closer in the picture and I painted over the cables with liquid electrical tape to stop them from ever touching.

and I looked everywhere before doing this and the only way I could see getting replacement cable was to buy broken pair, but as its a common fault it's likely to be broken on those too :D

Ps don't use image as order reference as I had messed up when taking the pic and had to de-solder and swap a couple I think
