The M Series systems have soldered RAM and SSD storage so it’s not possible to upgrade and as far as the data on the SSD flash chips the data is encrypted married to the systems SoC chip and TouchID unit. So transferring the chips won’t work either.

While one can replace the logic board you must get the TouchID unit which is married to the given logic board and if locked to someone’s fingerprint you won’t be able to unlock it either.
