In order to remove the three display cable connectors, I completely destroyed the three pieces of extremely thin, black, heat dissipative (hd) stickers that covered each of the connections. I saw that ifixit carries a replacement hd tape kit for the Series 6 44mm watch only. It’s out of stock so I can’t even try to adapt it for my Series 5. Is it absolutely necessary to replace the hd tape? Is there an acceptable alternative tape here on ifixit or on the internet I could use? Thanks!
