the above information is not correct.

the above power adapters fit PowerBook 1400/2400/3400, G3 Pismo, G3 iBook Clamshell and have 9,5mm thick connectors.

The newer PowerBook G4, iBook G4 etc have ''similar'' ones, but the inner connector is thinner, 7,5mm.

The PowerBook 190 and 5300 series use very different power adapters with a very slim connector..like this replacement one:
