The answer is to either go around is with a q-tip and some isoprypl alchohol rub the q tip around the joystick hole

If that doesn't work try to take an air blower to it to try to take out any dirt and debris

If all else fails you can replace it with [product|IF462-020|this part|new_window=true] however be aware that it does require soldering
