I have replaced a couple of screens like this model. If you can be careful and have purchased a replacement screen I find it easy. I recommend taking pictures on each point of the job. If you have to leave the job in the middle you can reference them or just want to check back on the reverse process. There are no screws but just unclicking and re clicking and be gentle. Using a knife to get into the fitted space is essential as a plastic or bendable device for me is tough. I dull my blade on a stone or brick but have it thin, the dull will save your plastic and again be gentle.
I have from memory typed the process as i did it. good luck and do not be in a hurry.
The HP 360 convertible screen replacement.
With the laptop off and the power disconnected, start by using a thin knife in the middle of the screen at the top just where it joins the case. Gently work in the knife in and pry out. Move the knife to the side a bit and repeat. You will find the screen starts to come apart. Keep this prying around and soon you can get your fingers in and gently pop the screen out and forward. Lay the screen on the keyboard and find two connecters that have a tab lever to flip up and free the ribbon cable attached to the board stuck to the screen. You have another plug on the right side of this board to gently unplug be ready to unplug both Then you will find some sticky tape in the middle holding another connector stuck to the inside of the laptop. Gently peal the tape off this connector which has the tape also holding a group of wires to another connector and unwrap this and free the wires from the connector, make sure to keep the tape end ready for re use. Under the tape at the right is another plug with wires attached to the little board, un-plug this now. A tip for removing the ribbon cables end from the connectors would be to carefully push tweezers under the wires (do not squeeze though) at the connector and lift the wires up all at one time. The ribbon cable at the end is delicate and the wires can separate, they are just moulded together
Take your time, there will be a small coax running along under and this is the WIFI ariel, it should be free. You now se the screen edge with a long little board and it is stuck to the screen with tape glued to the screen. Warming up this tape with a hair dryer or similar will help free this board from the screen. I have used a hair dryer with the outlet made smaller with tape in a tube shape to direct hot air. Do not get over hot do a pass and try the removal gentle slow working, no hurry. The new screen may come with this board attached, we do not know.
If the board comes with the new screen then the only connections would be the one taped, the two connectors on either side of the small board the grey white WIFI cable that ran under the two ribbon cables can be left on top with a small tape to hold while you lean the new screen up again to be pressed back int the frame again. I sometimes run the computer with the new screen loose to test.
