It is not supposed to be unplugged there, as it is an integral part of the TV i.e. power cord stays attached to the TV and is unplugged from the wall power outlet only.
You will have to unplug the TV from the power outlet and then remove the back cover from the TV, disconnect the power cord from the power board and then remove the damaged power cord from the back cover and replace it.
