Try cleaning it again but this time use Isopropyl Alcohol 99%+ (available at electronics parts stores e.g. Jaycar, Altronics, RS Components, Bunnings also has it).

If you didn't use Isopropyl Alcohol 99%+ the first time to clean the keys etc, try cleaning them again but this time use it and check if that resolves the problem. It's available from electronics parts stores e.g. Jaycar, Altronics, RS Components, Bunnings also has it.

Clean water is OK, just, distilled water is better but IPA99%+ cleans best, evaporates quickly and leaves no residues, conductive or otherwise. Just don't make the circuit board too wet in case it starts to lift the traces of the board

Clean water is OK, just (still has some contaminants), distilled water is better but IPA99%+ cleans best as it leaves no residues, conductive or otherwise and it evaporates quickly. Just don't make the circuit board too wet in case it starts to lift the traces off the board
