AFAIK, you can't reset ink absorber full/almost full errors in most Canon printers just by clicking the buttons. Some models can be reset with Canon service tool, whereas other needs their EEPROM ic chip (where the ink counter information is stored) to be replaced or reprogrammed with chip programmer. I had the same issues with my e410, I tried all methods but to no avail. Finally, I bought pre-programmed EEPROM ic and replaced it, and only then it worked for me.
