Hi! Has this happened multiple times? What gives you the indication that the battery is crashing your computer? What happens when your computer crashes? It would be VERY unusual for a battery to cause a problem that makes the computer crash. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen it happen. I'd bet it's just a fluke...I'd continue using the machine and see if it crashes again, and try to determine what the circumstances of the crash are.

FYI, battery calibration is fun and exciting and all, but it really isn't so important, so I wouldn't put a lot of emphasis on it. Another idea -- you can remove the battery entirely, and see if the computer keeps crashing.
