glennis, you are not giving us a lot of information. Could be a bad microphone or your settings. Check the settings first, if they are properly set, it may be time to disassemble your camera and take a look at the mic. Make sure the solder connections are still on , if the are, first thing would be to replace the mic.

The FE 210 doesn't have a mic. It only takes silent video.
