Could you guys test gasoline on the glue on the surface pro

I was wondering if you might try removing a little of the gunk using gasoline. See if it completely removes the glue, but does not damage the screen or metal. Thinking you might be able to take some floss and paint brushes and remove the screen over the course of a few days.

remember that certain plastics dissolve in gasoline because they have similar chemical structures. So this will definitely not be a good way of removing the glue.

It's much safer and faster to just use something made for the purpose like Goo Gone Citrus Power Liquid Adhesive Remover. http://www.walgreens.com/store/c/goo-gon...

The "glue" is more like a rubber tape and peels off pretty easily.

I have replaced the SSD in my 64GB Surface Pro. It has been an adventure and I'm still having trouble with the 256GB SSD. I'm hopping to have Win8 reinstalled sometime today.
