replaced the screen and cable, now I only have a chime sound nothing e

Hi,

Did any of you finally fixed the white screen on the MacbookPro 13" 2010. I have exactly the same problem. Bad screen that I replaced with a new screen and LVDS cable. Now I only have a chine sound and nothing else. There is not apple logo, not other sounds. I have tried booting from external hard drive but it does not work anymore.

Any solutions?

A white screen usually indicates a failed hard drive. Try disconnecting the hard drive and booting up from your system installation disk.
