Will not power on from battery

I have a MacBook A1278 2.4GHz that will not power on from the battery or charge the battery. When I depress the power button it does nothing unless the Mag-Safe is connected and it will not charge the battery. I have 3 batteries and I have charged them in another MacBook, once my MacBook is booted up it shows them with 100% charge but if I power off it off and disconnect the Mag-Safe it will not power on from the battery. I have replaced the cable that connects the battery to the logic board and the problem still persists. There is no external or internal damage to my MacBook. When I connect the Mag-Safe to my MacBook the light turns green and if the battery is discharged it turns orange but does not charge the battery. There never has been any liquid spills to damage the laptop.

Download and run Coconut Battery to get a better idea of what's going on with the battery. http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutba...

Next step would be to replace the MagSafe board. Here's the part: MacBook Unibody (A1278) MagSafe DC-In Board

Here's how to install it: MacBook Unibody Model A1278 DC-In Board Replacement

Mayer, thanks for responding. I have already installed "Coconut Battery" and it doesn't show the battery as charging plus it doesn't show the percent of charge or percent of available capacity either. I'm willing to purchase and install the MagSafe DC-In Board but if it was bad would the laptop still boot up with the charger connected? I'm not an expert but it would seem that if the MagSafe DC-In Board was bad the computer would be complete dead. Am I wrong?

If you haven't solved the issue yet, and the D.C. N Board is not at fault, run aht and post the results -

Update (06/06/2018)

aht will give you a mistake in the area of the current check, usually a 0 Ohm resistor in the R70xx area of the power supply area.
