L7222 burned up. Need a replacement

Does anyone know where I can get this component? I am sure Apple won't sell it but I need one badly. I will not buy another MoBo or Mac to replace this one. Thanks!

what are the last three digits of your serial number? It will help us to identify your logic board correctly and hopefully enable us to help you find the part.

twbranch, I just checked the schematic and what you are looking at is a 250ohm ferrite bead, used for EMI control. You might just apply a jumper which would allow you to at least check to see if the circuit is working. Only thing you might experience is higher interference. This is a common part and should be available at places like Mouser.com or Digikey.com. Hope this helps, good luck.

Thanks. The computer is completely torn down so I will probably just buy one on my next purchase so that I can test that way. I will let you know how it goes. One question. Would that component cause the computer to not start up at all? That was my initial issue.

BTW, the last 3 digits of the iMac is VGP. Not sure about the logic board if that is what you are asking. It is not near me at the moment but I can find out shortly if need be. Thanks!

Thanks for the serial number, the schematic is definitely right. This component should not stop your computer from starting, it is part of the Audio/amp circuit.
