The boards are the same within model years... including early to late '11 so if you can find the faster (2.2GHz-2.5GHz) board it would work.

Trying to move to a '12 board could give you problems with your current screen (I have no direct experience or knowledge of this... but the Graphic Chips are different so the connectors might be too.... ask your vendor to warranty fit before purchasing so there's no restock fee if you attempt this change and it doesn't work).

Having the same problem had a liquid spill from the first year I got it than sent to apple repair they wanted $1200 so I declined the repair they sent back and I played around cleaning just the back of logic board and laptop went back to work and now that it's been a total of 4 years it just went out on me. When I try all the restarts safe mode and reboot. The laptop won't will turn on and you hear the chime but when I put in password it loads half way than restarts itself plus with the green and red lines throughout the screen. I have a MacBook Pro 15 inch early 2011.

You need a logic board from the same model year... and a warranty from the vendor it will fit your case. So that you don't get stuck with "restocking" fees.

FWIW The MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.3 17-Inch (Early 2011) technically is a "configure-to-order" configuration of the MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.2 17-Inch (Early 2011), but also is documented as a separate model, so ,if you can find a 2.3 logic board go for the upgrade.

I see you've asked this same question three times. Perhaps you meant to contact iFixit directly?

I think you should not attempt to do this repair yourself... you appear to lack sufficient thinking/reading comprehension skills.

Good Luck,

Pd Maxter, your logic board part number is 661-5850 and the logic board number itself is 820-2915-B. Hope this helps, good luck.

how did you get this number 661-5850

tarafından

You'll find it on the logic board its self. If you have access to the systems schematics you can also find it there.

Dan thank you for replying, the board is in front of me and I only see the Serial no, MLB no as well as the EmC no which is 2419. where it exactly located

tarafından

Your board has a 820-XXXX number stenciled on it. that is the number you need to cross reference your board. The 661-number is Apple's part number and ist is not on the board.

tarafından

Where is the 820-XXXX number stenciled? Is it on the underside of the board?

You have to open the bottom cover, then remove the SSD then once you remove the SSD it will reveal the logic boar serial number
