Dropped iPhone 4S now shows display with multiple gray-toned lines

Dropped my iPhone 4S. Luckily, there was no damage with the screen itself. However, the display now shows multiple gray-toned lines, with a dark blob on the upper right corner of the screen.

Can this be fixed? If yes, will it require a technician's expertise or will a DIY kit be sufficient to repair this?

Dips, looks like a broken LCD. Replace the display assembly by following this guide. The assembly is available right here. If you can do the repair yourself, depends on your comfort level. Read the guide a few times and see what you think. Hope this helps, good luck.
