light problem in monitor
I have the iMac G5 and the screen is only half lit there must be light tubs of some kind. what kind of bulb is how do I change it and what is the cost

even if this looks like another orphan - let's try it:
it could be a inverter problem or one of the ccfl's is dead.
the ccfl is not a simple bulb - but replacing is possible - if you have the right part.
to rule out the inverter - i can only recommend this posting from richdave: What part number and how do I replace the backlight?

Would you describe the problem in greater detail? Is it the top or bottom, is it gradual? Did it happen slowly or all at once?
