MacBook Pro 13" Power Button Replacement

Did you spill something into the keyboard? Are you able to start the system using the power pads? So you know its the keyboard Vs something else. It does start up after hitting the button a few times.

The power button is part of the keyboard assembly which in turn is part of the top case. While some people have managed to locate new keyboard assembles from China. Apple only supplied it as part of the top case assembly. In addition the keyboard is held in with either aprox 80 screws and/or rivets which are a bear to remove. In addition dissembling the keyboard to even clean it as it is quite tricky to take apart as well.
