Liquid damage - no LED on MagSafe - power on pads
SITUATION
I have a MacBook air 2013 13-inch i5 with slight liquid damage. Any residue and liquid has been removed as I have done successfully with many laptops.
I get none of the following:
- chime
- LED sleep light
- keyboard lights
- screen display
- LED light on MagSafe
- fan
The original MagSafe light still does not come on. Tried getting the Magsafe light to come on while installed and after removing it from the computer. Tried various MagSafe chargers. Cleaned MagSafe port and charger tips. No light.
On MacBook Pros were able to plug the MagSafe io board up to a power adapter and the MagSafe LED illuminates.
• Shouldn't the new IO board light up when connected to a MagSafe charger BEFORE installing it?
• (those of you with actual experience) Can the MagSafe charger other than Apple's recommended 45 watt be used to power on this laptop?
PART TWO
Where are the power on pads on this logic board?
PART THREE
If anyone has similar experience or has had success with this particular problem, I'd love to hear the details of your remedy.
NOTE: (not yelling) YES I KNOW THE NEXT STEP IS TO HAVE THE LOGIC BOARD PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AND/OR REPAIRED BY A COMPONENT LEVEL REPAIR SHOP. RIGHT NOW JUST TRYING TO GET ANY KIND OF ELECTRICITY TO GO THROUGH IT AT ALL.
Bu iyi bir soru mu?
Does not look like it has power on pads. The only thing that remotely looks like it might work is to shorten pin 11 to ground on your IPD Flex Connector
