Messed up my fan connector on the PCB

So I finally got the main board out of this beast. Thought I did a good job until I noticed the ribbon cable for the fan had the plastic housing that should be on the PCB. I broke the plastic ribbon compression connector. The wires on the PCB looks good. How do I replace the plastic piece to the PCB so the ribbon cable can touch the wires properly. That connector is really small. Or am I SOL?

Here is an image of the connector placed back on the PCB by me. Its floating there. That small plastic piece is the broken hinge.

3rd picture. With fan turn right side up, this is how it is inserted into the connector mating with the wires.

hchin, if you know how to solder, I suggest you replace the connector. If you do not, try to find somebody who can do that for you. Toughest part will be to find the right connector. I do believe this to be a Pico- EZmate Wire-to-Board Connector System from Molex, check on here. Consider it a minor set back, not quite SOL. Hope this helps, good luck.

Thanks oldturkey03. I looked at the Pico EZmate Wire-to-Board Connector and it doesn't appear to be the right one. The five wires coming out of the PCB is the connection point touching the ribbon from the fan. The ribbon has 5 connection points. I assume, the ribbon and the 5 wires is sandwiched with the plastic piece to hold them together. The latch broke off so the connection is no longer stable. Like you said, the problem will be to find the correct connector.

Lets see if we can find the right connector :-)
