please let me know
my i book dosn't turn on
only if i let it seat for a couple hours
with out a battery or dc charger then it turns on but the clock is not up to date
then i adjust the time & date then i shoot it down & it won't turn at all after that

iBooks G3 & G4 don't have PRAM battery so if your battery is dead your iBook will lose his parameters (time, etc) when the AC adapter is disconnected. Buy a working battery or keep the iBook connected with the AC adapter.

Some do and some don't. Let's do one at a time. Look on the back of the one you want to fix first and give us the Axxx number. Then remove the battery and give us the information as to exactly which unit we are talking about. The loss of a date indicates a dead pram battery or bad pram capacitor.
Reset the SMU
Unplug the computer's power cord.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
