My problem is the power button.

I indeed did spill some coffee on my keyboard a couple months ago. The computer still works fine and all keyboard buttons seem to function without any issue at all (aside from the led backlight not being uniform in brightness anymore).

My problem is the power button. I can boot up my computer most of the time with no problem, but the dialogue asking me if I'm sure I wanna shut down my computer randomly and repeatedly pops up and if I don't hit cancel, it'll just shut off.

When I boot it up, if I don't hold down a key or something to let the boot process finish it'll shut down suddenly as well at the Apple logo screen.

You'll need to try cleaning the spillage if you can. I'll warn you I've not had great success when the liquid has sat for so long stewing. It might be easier replacing the top case assembly. Follow this IFIXIT guide: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2010 Upper Case Replacement. While the part is expensive the amount of effort & time is well worth it.

Thanks for the reply. Is this something the Genius Bar won't touch?

Sadly, Apple takes the position if the system got wet it is often not recoverable. Apple has markers internally that they do inspect to see if they have turned from getting wet. If you only spilled into the keyboard there is a good likelihood they will fix it. It won't cost you anything to find out (Apple won't charge you if they won't fix it). Authorized service centers are a bit more forgiving but they often won't offer any warranty on the repair (they often charge a fee just for inspection).
