After a screen repair the screen was a bluish white.

I repair apple devices for friends, but I do not know what to do in this situation. The first time, I broke the digitizer flex on the replacement screen while trying to scrape excess glass of the frame. Then I ordered another screen, not knowing if the iPod was on or off because I didn't have a screen except the broken one so I repaired the iPod.

Then I held the power button for three seconds an the screen lit up with a whitish-blue color. None of the buttons where broken so I tried to turn the iPod on and off without success. Then I hooked up the iPod to iTunes. Although I could not get the iPod to turn off none-the-less connect to iTunes, iTunes started to backup the iPod with everything that was on the iPod. Still on the light blue screen I stopped the iPod from backing up because we didn't want what was on the iPod. Then, thinking it was the screen hooked it up to three different screens with the same result. Please tell me if it is fixable and if so how?

After letting the battery run out, I hooked the iPod up to the computer and the iPod turned on, it went back to the apple screen that it was low on battery. Then after a couple of minutes, the iPod came back to the regular screen with all of the information that was previously on the iPod. A happy mistake!

sounds like you guys are both saying the same thing.

Battery drain out = hard reset = rebooting the iPod = success

Power+home button for 10 seconds = hard reset = rebooting the iPhone = success

and you're both right. The first step for any weird problem in any iDevice repair is a hard reset!

I fix iPhones screens, I am not sure you have the same issue but it could be. The iPhone I was fixing took me quite a while, I tried the poor mans way ( taking every piece glass etc..) a TOTAL fiasco the lcd under it was already totally totally scratched nothing to do so I ordered the whole digitizer + LCD I first install I had a horrible screen it wasn't just working, blue screen or pink screen not sure now, I got pale so nervous I was, my client was waiting upstair for me to finish. I fixed by basicly plugin in and out a bit stronger and making sure its perfectly connected I applied much more strenght, and it worked, but than I got the bad surprise that it was a huge line on the left side, just like a internal crack, in the end was just a printed image on the LCD and after some days of usage it was gone.

Try first by resetting your iPod power, Hold the power button + the home button together till the phones shut itself up and the show blue (or hopefully ) the apple comes up. Good luck, Try cleaning connectors with 99% alcohol could be your finger sweated by unlock and there is a connection problem inside of it.

99% alcohol is available at any pharmacist use a cotton bud or a soft tooth brush.

cheers

Thanks, but a happy mistake solved my problem. I let the battery drain and then charged it and that solved my problem. I don't know how but I am glad I figured it out also holding the buttons seemed to not do anything but light and unlight the backlight. I think I had the same problem because it took the iPod a couple of weeks to work.
