Hello, I have a TOSHIBA led 46sl417u bought three years ago. Recently it started to black out, where the image dissapears and the sounds continues. Tried to turn off and on, and even unplug. But nothing fix it. Any ideas on how to solve it? Thanks

hi after reading about this problem i thought i may help.
hopefully you have not scrapped the television.
A tv with these symtoms, i would begin by replacing the av board ie the audio video board.
remove the back off the tv and look where the main connections for hdmi or scart connections plug in and look for the serial number on the board and look for a replacement board.this is a good place to start.
this issue also can come under a power supply fault in which case i would number two replace the power supply.
where the power lead plugs in.
be aware though there are very high voltages behind a tv so i wouldnt recomend trying unless you know what your doing.

mazondaniel, you said that the images disappears. does it eventually come back on or does it now stay with no picture? Have you checked if there is anything on your screen when the TV is on, just very dark? Angle a flashlight against the display in a dark room and see if you can make anything out. Does your LED give you any blink code? this could be as simple as a fuse or capacitor to as complicated as the power supply and/or the LED driver board. Start by posting some images of your TV back with the panel off, let us see a couple of boards in high res. Also, remember that Toshiba is #1 PITA when it comes to service manuals. They are extremely hard to come by, so good trouble shooting skills will be essential as well as a multimeter for a tool.
