Touch screen still not working after replacement?

I replaced the whole screen assembly since I dropped my phone and broke the lcd panel, but now that I have replaced it with the whole lcd digitizer assembly the touch screen doesnt work but the lcd does. Any Idea as to why?

Could be a defective part I would return the screen get a refund and buy another off a different vendor
