What is the part number for the CPU fan?

Greeetings,

I love this website and this will be the first time I've had to crack open my iMac.

The fan in the lower left hand corner (as you face it) makes a terrible noise upon startup but eventually goes away after the machine warms up, and I thump the back shell once or twice.

This IS the location of the CPU fan, correct?

My iMac's EMC number is 2211.

I'm looking for the part number for the CPU fan so I can search online for a replacement.

Any information and/or advice would be much appreciated.

Bob, you are correct,that is the CPU fan. Apple part number is 922-8459 and it is compatible with models:
