Why won't my HTC Desire power on?
My HTC Desire 700 Dual Sim no longer powers on. It will only do so if it is plugged in to a working electrical outlet.

A phone that no longer holds a charge is indicative of a fault in either the battery or the printed circuit board (PCB board). If the device powers on while plugged in to a working electrical outlet, the battery is likely the issue and should be replaced.
Note: if the device does not power on after being plugged in, the PCB board is likely at fault.
