Hi,
My son's HTC Desire 310 stopped working..no power, no sign of life. A repair shop said it is the motherboard. How do identify which motherboard to search for? I have found some photo tutorials online that I hope will guide me. Total amateur here, but needs must:)

Hi Paul,
Did they say what was specifically wrong with your motherboard? If you go the route of getting another motherboard, do note that this is the phone itself and you will not retain anything not backed up to the cloud.
When searching for the motherboard, you will most likely find pull-offs that are, of course, used. Check to make sure it is the same model, and also that it is for the same carrier you are using.
Just curious though, what prompted this issue? Was there any physical damage involved?
