I picked up this used walkman from a buddy of mine. He said he hadn't used it in about a year. Now it doesn't hold a charge and I have no idea what to do. Please help!

When the device is used for the first time or has not been used for a long period of time causing the battery to deplete, it may take up to 5 minutes before the device is responsive and starts to charge. On models with a screen, the screen may remain blank. If the portable player is not recognized or does not begin to charge after approximately 5 minutes, reset the unit.
