LCD won't turn on after repair.

I'm on my third LCD, this time from iFixit, and the LCD ont turn on. I tried the original screen as well, that one is unresponsive as well. Did Apple make it like the iPhone, where you have to have certain screws in, or is there an issue with the logic board? I can connect to iTunes and it recognizes the iPad, just no screen.

I would say that it is most likely a logic board issue. Either damage to the connector or damage to the backlight circuitry. Did you disconnect the battery when swapping LCDs?

This sounds likely, unfortunately. If multiple LCDs are acting the same way, it's probably not that component that's the problem.

many times folks with no image on mini retina are trying a mini original lcd, and not a mini retina lcd. this won't work even though the connectors are the same.

unlike many parts, it is rare for a replacement lcd to just not work out of the box. so if that is the case, then this will be a simple backlight fuse job.

for mini retina, you'll need to send it out for backlight repair---unless you are a capable microsolderer.

if you need some microsoldering support--feel free to click my name and find your way to my mail in repair biz.

This is not a good sign , Have you tried looking closely at the screen to see if you can see a slight picture ? If you can see a faint image then it would be a backlight issue which is more easily fixed . You do have to be careful with the screws as some are longer especially the 2 at the top right i believe. you don't want these being screwed in over the logic board as it could cause damage.
