iPhone 5 Glass Separating from Housing

The glass screen on my iPhone 5 is separating from its housing, so I bought a replacement battery from ifixit hoping that the battery was swollen and replacing it would solve the glass panel separation.

While performing the replacement, I (accidentally) completely separated the glass from the housing. I eventually completed the battery replacement, and got the glass panel back into the housing in similar shape as it was before--separating, but not falling out.

I still want to solve this problem, so here's my question: how should I adhere the glass to the housing? Should I use double-sided 2mm tape or loca glue? I would rather not use glue, especially glue that needs an infrared light to cure. If I use the tape, should I line the sides of the glass or the bottom of it just around the edges?

Does anyone have experience with this? it seems like a common iPhone 5 problem, and I have extensively researched this, but so far I have not found a great answer.
