iMac are actually sealed and actually unrepairable?

I'm deciding to buy a new iMac 5K retina display and I asked a few questions in Apple community and now I am really worry about it as people saying iMac are sealed and cannot be repair or replace anything except RAM.

Because I am thinking about a long term usage like 10 years.

Does it last long?

I am using my MacBook Pro mid 2009 for 6 years already.

Apple usually supports a Mac for 6 years and then says it's at the end of life. I have 21 year old Macs that run just fine. Repairs on this model are difficult, adding RAM requires a logic board removal but I have done it on the 2012-13, you just need the proper tools and gaskets. Frankly I'm putting my high end customers in the 2012 MacPros because they are so well built and easily upgradable.

So it's more like new version of iMac hardly or required experience to upgrade then? As I look into the ifixit repair guide I see these new version of iMac really tough to upgrade.
