As a note, I would suggest posting the year of manufacture and the model number as can be found by opening the door and looking around that rim area...

What scares me most (great bedside manner, no?) is the absence of codes. The reason is that this could be a blatant sign that one of those dang expensive boards is bad, and I will have to leave that to a pro.

Until a pro jumps in, I would suggest two courses of action. First, run a diagnostic. The procedure should be detailed in a pamphlet you should be able to find taped to the inside right wall of the washer (just remove the three screws in the back along the top that hold it on, then push it back and lift), or you can get this:

(You might have to copy the entire link and paste it into your browser)

Though I strongly recommend reading the entire pamphlet, the immediate material is on page 6-8, followed by what each phase of the test is testing.

If cycling through this does not lead you to the answer, I would then pick up off this board the first three answers found at:

(Yeah, I know, I am number three...). The first give an excellent overview with diagrams (MOST helpful), the second fills in some excellent blanks. Mine was just placed at the start of this year after a several month hunt for a problem of not draining, noting both the good and the bad advice I was given. As you will note, I "answered" to my post after some time when I found that I had gone through TWO bad main control boards ("Experts" told me that a bad board was highly unlikely the cause. I guess I was simply struck by lightning twice.) I strongly suspect that going through this should bring you to your answer. One last possibility that I don't think was mentioned in the previous material would be the possibility of a bad pressure switch (What the heck. By now I had two good drain pump motors and was working with two bad control boards, yet to realize that years before I had bought and kept a third one hiding in a box in our garage, awaiting me to trip over it!). I found a cheap good one (pressure switch. Good control boards ain't cheap, but you CAN get a guaranteed rebuild for about $85.00) online and bought it just to eliminate it from the mix, but before playing with that you should have a good feel for the roles each part plays, and reading that manual and the posts here should give you that level of comfort.

To the moderators: I sincerely apologize if any of the links above violate any board rules. I think I am within your policies and do not intend in any way to offend. Please forgive me if I tripped!
