Why do I have no video output on either LCD or DVI?
Hi iFixit community:
I have an older Mac Book Pro Core Duo that recently took a tumble from about 2ft off an ottoman and landed on its side (one of the sides where are the connection ports are). Now on boot up the I hear it but up normally and the LCD screen lights up but the has lines scrambled all over it. I have connected it via DVI externally to a monitor but nothing happens the monitor stays black and does not switch to extended mode or mirror.
So far I have done the following to check other components.
1. Removed HD and used in an external encloseure boots fine from another mac.
2. Checked RAM for any cracks etc and tested in another machine. Works fine.
3. Looked for any other connections that may have been jarred loose from the impact all seem fine.
My impression is that everything boots normally, I just have no output I can work with. I am still holding out hope that its not the GPU because its pretty pricey to replace.
Any suggestions on how to further diagnose the root? I heard video cable is pretty fragile so I am wondering if that could be it but that should not impact dvi output. I will retry DVI output again this evening.
Thanks to any and all that maybe able to help.

Here is an update based on some further trouble shooting. I was able to connect an external monitor and everything is working great there. The LCD shows the boot up colors correctly first the gray screen then blue screen but images are blurred with vertical lines of color. I have a picture I will try to link to once I can upload.
