not working following restore, following screen replacement

Hi

I broke my iPad 2 GSM screen. iPad still worked but decided a few months on to replace screen. Replaced and worked fine except would not connect properly (I think that was the issue, can't recall exactly now). antennae were all fine. Decided to to a "restore" as i wanted to clear it anyway.

Did a restore and it has got "stuck"...it never finishes the restore. Tried the DFU mode and all that stuff mentioned on the internet.

Have removed second screen to take a look. Is there anything specific I should look at for damage, or that I should try replacing before i deposit it in the bin :(
