Replaced screen and phone will not turn on.

I replaced my front screen and digitizer and now my phone won't turn on at all. It was working before replacing my screen. Could it be from disconnecting the battery cable while phone was still on? I could not turn off the phone because the digitizer was broken and screen wouldn't read my finger prints to slide the phone off.

Hi,

Have you tried lock button and home button combination to reset it? Also, try unplugging the battery and putting it back in.

Have you also tried the old screen to see if you get an image?

If these don't work, it is more than likely that you have put the screws in the wrong place on the shield, this is long screw damage, and has damaged the traces on the logic board, which could cause a backlight issue, you could try shine a light on the screen to see if there is a dim Apple logo or image, if so, this is an extremely difficult repair and can only be done with microsoldering skills. :-)

I have tried everything except plugging in the old screen. The problem isn't just the screen, the phone itself isn't coming on at all. No vibrations, no sounds or anything.

Do you think unplugging the battery while it was still on could have messed something up? My husband tried fixing the phone first, the old digitizer was so messed up you couldn't slide the screen to officially turn off the phone then he unplugged the battery.

Thanks for your suggestions.
