My screen has a severe holographic,pink screen when on,what is wrong?

Once I turn on my camera, the screen is severely pink. It looks like my camera is on a hallucinogenic state. I have no idea what happen to it, or if this is a function on the camera?

me too, i can clearly see the menu, but when i try to take a picture, everything is pink and the zoom is doing a weird sound. I think the lens is deffect.

Same problem with mine. I did not use it for several months, got it out for a short trip and "WOW" it looks like it ingested some ACID from the 70s. What is wrong with it? Can it be repaired? Help!!!!
