I was trying to setup the New Chromecast to my home wi-fi and it gives me a pop up window on my computer that says "no big deal your wi-fi isn't on." I checked my wi-fi settings and it says it's on and running and my other devices are working ok with it. I have ATT U-Verse DSL service. Using a Motorola nvg510 modem.

Is it possible that your WiFi is invisible vor new Devices?
You can check that on the Router itself.
If it is invisible you nedd to uncheck it so the chomecast can see it.
What type of WiFi do you use? 2.4 or 5 Ghz?
