Why are there a vertical & horizontal lines across my screen.
The lines also appear on an external lcd monitor. Data can be seen, just

Probably a problem with the video card as it appears on external monitor as well. Run the apple hardware test here to see the exact problem and maybe then take it back to an apple store and see what they can do. If its a g5 i presume its not under warranty still so i dont think there is much you can do.
