Horn honking and door won't lock

When to the store and returned to the car. Door was not locked, but I remember hitting the lock button on my keychain. I opened the trunk first with no problem. When I opened the door the horn started honking. Started the car and it continued. Stopped, put in park, opened and closed the trunk. Started driving home with it still going. Tires look good, didn't see any parking lot damage. Got home parked shut it off got out and it started honking again. The remote will not lock the door. Any ideas on what to look for?

This may be a little late to help but my 1998 STS had a similar problem in that the alarm would go off when I tried to lock the car with the key. Flashing lights horn wakes up the cows and the dog and it all gets really loud . A simple reset of the ecm fixed the problem ,by diconnecting the battery for about 20 minutes with the lights switched on the drain any residual power to the computer-ecm it resets to default and everything worked great , for a while anyway a couple years later had to reset again. but for the most part it was fine till i got rid of the car. Hope this helps

After we disconnected the horns, this went on for a couple of days. Then the problem resolved itself and the doors are now locking. I have not reconnected the horns, they just scare people anyway and make people do screwy things. I find that a middle finger works just as well ;-)
