Samsung UN60EH6000 TV turns itself off intermittantly
Hi my UN60EH6000 tv is aprox 4 yrs old, since new it would occasionally turn itself off. I would have to wait a minute or 2 then I could turn it back on.
It seemed that if I removed all but the hdmi plug that had the signal it would turn back on right away. now it goes off regularly, if I pull the hdmi plug it turns itself back on and I can plug the cable back in and it works for a few seconds then I have to repeat the process. Very annoying...
I'm not sure if its just the dry air but I get a small shock removing the hdmi cable. probably just the dry.
is this tv easily fixed? is it worth fixing? I am an electrical engineer so I'm comfortable around circuit boards.
Update (12/07/2015)
I'll have to take the panel apart to look at the boards, I did a firmware update and for now it seems to be working, hasn't turned off since I did the update, maybe it's not quite as dry out this week as when it was giving me problems. if it starts acting up again I'll take the back off it and look for bad caps. Thanks

Seanpatrick2000 Samsung has issues with bad caps. To start, take a look at your boards and check for some obvious damaged caps. Post some images of your boards with your question.
